Dr. Gozde Turktarhan

She is a visiting research scholar at University of South Florida MUMA College of Business M3 Center Technology and Innovation for the Hospitality. She graduated as an honor student. After working at many hotels during her undergraduate education, she continued her career in the academy.

 

Her master thesis has been awarded The Best Master Thesis in 2014. She completed her doctorate degree in the area of destination marketing. After completing her doctorate degree in 2019, she came to University of South Florida for her post doctorate researches by the support of Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. 

Her research interests are in the areas of destination marketing, smart destinations and tourism technologies. She serves as assistant editor of the Journal of Global Business Insights. She is an active member of International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism (IFITT), Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP), American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) and Association of North America Higher Education International (ANAHEI). Also, she is a volunteer for Humane Society of Sarasota County Animal Shelter and recording audio books for blind and low-vision people.
