Dr. Eda Özgül Katlav
Dr. Eda Özgül Katlav is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Tourism at the Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University. She graduated as an honor student with a tourism degree in Turkey. Dr. Katlav also earned her Ph.D. in Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli Universit. She came to University of South Florida for her post doctorate researches by the support of Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. She is a visiting research scholar at University of South Florida MUMA College of Business M3 Center Technology and Innovation for the Hospitality.
Her research interests are in the areas of human behavior in hospitality tourism, tourism technologies, rural tourism. She teaches MBA, MS, and PhD programs in Turkey. She works on qualitative and quantitative methods. She uses Spss, MaxQDA, Amos programs and gives lectures.
She has written projects for institutions such as British Council, Scientific and Technological Research Council (Tübitak) and European Union has been involved as a researcher. She is on the editorial board of the Journal of Global Hospitality and Tourism (JGHT). She is a member of Association of North America Higher Education International (ANAHEI). Also, she is a member of a women's cooperative that makes local food in Göreme, Turkey. She supports the cooperative in project writing.
